You forgot. It’s 4:47pm on a Thursday, her birthday is today, and you’re frantically Googling "same day flower delivery KL". Take a breath. You still have time — if you know the rules.
Same-day flower delivery in Kuala Lumpur is a race against two clocks: the florist’s order cutoff and the dispatch window. Miss either and your flowers arrive tomorrow, not today. Here’s the complete guide to timing it right.
The 50Gram same-day cutoffs
Unlike many florists in KL who cut off at 2pm, 50Gram keeps the window open longer. Our same-day cutoffs are:
- Monday to Friday: order by 5:00 PM
- Saturday: order by 1:00 PM
- Sunday: order by 12:00 PM (noon)
- Public holidays: we are closed — please pre-order
Why the weekend is tighter: our shop hours are Mon–Fri 10am–6pm, Sat 10am–2pm, Sun 10am–12pm. The same-day cutoff simply matches what the shop can still dispatch before closing.
Why cutoffs exist at all
A same-day bouquet isn’t just grabbed off a shelf:
- Flowers need to be conditioned after the order is placed — stems re-cut, leaves stripped, blooms hydrated. That takes 30–45 minutes.
- A hand bouquet takes 15–25 minutes to arrange properly. Wedding arrangements and stands take longer.
- KL traffic becomes hostile after 4pm. Dispatch has to leave the shop with enough buffer to reach the recipient before they leave work or sleep.
Delivery zones in Klang Valley
Not every "same-day" promise covers every postcode. 50Gram delivery zones:
Central KL (fastest same-day)
KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Bangsar, Mid Valley, Brickfields, Mont Kiara, Damansara Heights, Cheras (near), TTDI. Dispatch reaches you in 25–45 minutes. Most KL deliveries are free.
Petaling Jaya & inner Selangor
PJ, Subang Jaya, Sunway, USJ, Kelana Jaya, Shah Alam (eastern), Cheras (far), Kepong, Selayang. 45–75 minutes dispatch. Free delivery for most PJ addresses.
Outer Klang Valley
Klang, Port Klang, Kajang, Semenyih, Rawang, Puchong, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya. 90–120 minutes dispatch. RM20 delivery fee for these outer areas.
Nationwide (next-day)
Penang, Johor Bahru, Ipoh, Melaka, Kuantan, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching. Order 3–5 days ahead for next-day delivery via courier partner. Preserved flowers and flower boxes travel best.

Public holidays and peak dates
Our shop is closed on all Malaysian public holidays. Please pre-order for:
- Valentine’s Day (14 Feb) — order at least 4 days ahead. By the week of, popular bouquets are sold out.
- Mother’s Day (2nd Sunday of May) — order by the Wednesday before.
- Chinese New Year eve — limited availability; book from early January.
- Christmas Eve — order by the 20th for guaranteed delivery.
- Any Sunday — 50Gram delivers Sunday mornings, but cutoff is noon and the shop closes at 12pm, so order early.
No surcharges apply on peak days. The price you see is the price you pay — Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, or a regular Tuesday.
Four mistakes that delay your order
- Wrong postal code. Double-check it. We’ve had orders re-routed to Seremban because of one digit.
- No recipient phone number. We can’t WhatsApp "I’m outside" without it — and sometimes that means the parcel leaves with security instead of the recipient.
- Gated condo with no access instructions. Tell us the guardhouse protocol. "Just tell security" is not enough at 80% of KL condos.
- Paying with a foreign card that triggers fraud review. If you’re overseas sending flowers to KL, checkout via FPX or GrabPay is faster — international card verification can delay dispatch by 2+ hours.
When same-day isn’t possible
Missed the cutoff? Options:
- Schedule for tomorrow morning — a 10am next-day delivery is often better received than a rushed evening slot anyway.
- Walk-in pickup at our shop (A-01-03A Petalz Residences, Jalan Klang Lama, 58000 Kuala Lumpur) — if you can collect in person, we arrange bouquets for walk-ins during open hours.
- Send a heads-up message to the recipient with a preview image while the real bouquet is en route for tomorrow.
Our commitment
Every 50Gram order includes an email and WhatsApp notification when your bouquet is dispatched, and a second notification when it’s delivered. If anything goes wrong — wrong address, recipient not home, a flower arrives bruised — contact us within 24 hours with photos and we will resolve, replace, or refund.
